Digital signage at the Cisco Store provides our shoppers with an immersive and engaging shopping experience. On today’s episode of Tech Tuesday, we’ll see how we can use Cisco Vision, Webex by Cisco, and Cisco Meraki to coordinate digital signage between store locations. Our Tech Expert, Brian Domine, will use the Webex board in San Jose to call the newly installed Webex board in the RTP store, to talk through signage options with a colleague in North Carolina.
When a new shipment of summer merchandise is delivered to the RTP store, the Cisco Store team wants to make sure that the in-store digital signage marketing reflects the newest arrivals. Using the cloud managed Meraki VPN, Brian is able to remotely connect to the Cisco Vision Director as if he was in the RTP store himself. This capability allows him to manage digital media and content delivery from one central control panel- anywhere, anytime. With the help of the Webex boards in both stores, Brian can work through the different signage options with his RTP colleague, to decide which ones look the best and should be implemented into the Cisco Vision playlist.
With Cisco Vision, we are able to customize the Cisco Store to bring our brand and merchandise to life. Learn more about the capabilities of Cisco Vision here. Learn more about the Webex by Cisco boards here, and explore Cisco Meraki here.

Good collaboration is key to connecting employees located throughout the country, and even the globe. Webex by Cisco helps us at the Cisco Store to connect and collaborate with colleagues located at different store locations. On this week’s episode of Tech Tuesday, our Tech Expert, located in San Jose, California, will demonstrate how he can collaborate with his colleague, based out of the RTP office in North Carolina, using the Webex board.
As Brian explains, he has an upcoming trip to visit the RTP campus to install technology throughout at the newly renovated location. Using the Webex Board in the San Jose store, he calls his colleague in RTP to work through the technology deployment plan. When she shares the store floor plan on her screen, Brian is able to take over using the Webex board whiteboarding mode and mark up the document as they walk through their plan.
This digital whiteboarding session helps to bring collaboration and planning one step further, to better visualize and demonstrate ideas. In this case, Brian and his colleague will talk through the layout of the store as Brian highlights shelving and windows, and then map out where different technologies will be located throughout the store, such as Meraki access points, switches, and cameras. When finished planning, the marked-up document is saved automatically to be sent to relevant team members.
This Webex board at the Cisco Store has helped us create an easy to use, touch based, high quality collaboration experience. With a single, high resolution device, we can connect with remote team members at different store locations to bring our meetings and collaboration to the next level. Learn more about the capabilities of Webex boards here. Plus, stay tuned for more updates on the Cisco Store Tech Lab installation in RTP, coming soon!

In a world that increasingly relies on remote workers, more businesses are searching for the ability to consult with experts located remotely. This ability decreases staffing costs for retailers, and improves the overall shopping experience of customers. On this week’s episode of Tech Tuesday, our Tech Expert Brian will demonstrate how at the Cisco Store, we can use our Webex by Cisco board to consult and collaborate with “My Stylist” on shopping decisions.
Throughout the episode, Brian will demonstrate how a shopper that is unsure of their shopping choices can consult with our stylist, located remotely in her design studio. All Brian needs to do is approach the Webex board with the voice command, “OK Webex, call My Stylist.” Within a few short seconds, he’s conveniently connected with the stylist that can walk him through different clothing options to help him make his shopping decisions. For this particular episode, the stylist will help Brian dress to impress for an executive tour, elevating his casual look to a more professional but comfortable outfit.
